Zusammenfassung: | A method and a machine for automating the layer-by-layer manufacturing of an object according to a solid-solid additive manufacturing method, the machine (1) comprising a vacuum table (2) and at least one machining tool movably mounted above the table (2). The machine also includes a turning station (4) comprising: a cross member (42) which is movable in a longitudinal direction above the table (2) and in a vertical direction, carrying a means (43) for gripping a plate (M), the means being mounted such that it can rotate about an axis parallel to the cross member (42); a means (45) for supporting a plate (M), designed to allow the plate to be gripped on either of the two sides thereof by the gripping means (43); and X and Y wedge means (21) suitable for determining the position for, and positioning a plate (M), a set or a sheet.
