BELT LOCK, BELT LOCK SYSTEM, AND AIRPLANE SEAT BELT

The invention relates to a belt lock (10) for an airplane seat belt with an adjustable length, said belt lock (10) having: a main part (12) which defines a receiving area (20); a mounting (14) for securing a belt strap (16) of an airplane seat belt; and a locking device (18) for locking a lock tongue to the main part (12) in order to lock the airplane seat belt, wherein the main part (12) has a base (40) and side pieces (42) protruding therefrom on two opposite sides, the base (40) forms a substantially flat main surface (44), the mounting (14) is movably mounted on the side pieces (42), and a clamping edge (38) of the base (40), said clamping edge facing the mounting (14), protrudes from the main surface (44) in the direction of the mounting (14), thus drawing the mounting (14) to the clamping edge (38) when a tensile load is applied to the belt strap (16) and clamping the belt strap (16) between the clamping edge (38) and the mounting (14), whereby a change in the length of the airplane seat belt is blocked
