Primary seal assembly

Techniques are described herein for a seal assembly for an engine having a circular carbon graphite mating surface and a circular carrier mating surface. The flat face of the circular carrier mating surface includes a circular ramp that can be configured to receive a removable annular insert. And when the annular insert is inserted into the circular inclined surface, the annular insert is matched with the flat surface of the circular carbon graphite matching surface.
