Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding a protein having the amino acid sequence as depicted in SEQ ID NO: 10, and sequences having at least 70% sequence identity with said amino acid sequence and conferring self-compatibility to a potato plant. The invention further relates to a transformed plant that comprises the nucleic acid sequence, and parts thereof. The invention further related to methods for the selection and methods for the production of a plant comprising the the nucleic acid sequence, and to a plant that is obtainable by these methods.
