The method comprises the following steps: performing intermittent charging operation on the electrochemical device, acquiring data related to the electrochemical device in the intermittent charging operation, and determining lithium precipitation SOC and reference internal resistance of the electrochemical device based on the data related to the electrochemical device; determining a target lithium precipitation SOC and a target internal resistance based on the lithium precipitation SOC and the reference internal resistance; and in response to that the values of the target lithium precipitation SOC and the target internal resistance are in a value area where the electrochemical device generates lithium precipitation, determining that the electrochemical device enters an end of life (EOL) state.
