The gamma correction method comprises the steps: acquiring a brightness display range of the display device; dividing the brightness display range into a plurality of brightness areas; and performing gamma correction on the brightness areas one by one, so as to enable each brightness area to be correspondingly provided with at least one gamma coefficient. According to the gamma correction method and device, the display device and the storage medium, the display effect of the display device can be effectively improved.
