Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a genetic marker of a pig intramuscular fat content character and application. The invention firstly provides a C > T base mutation at the 1876bp position of a nucleotide sequence of a pig EEPD1 gene as a molecular genetic marker related to the intramuscular fat content character of the pig. The genetic marker related to the intramuscular fat content character is prepared, the nucleotide sequences of the genetic marker are shown as SEQ ID NO: 1 and SEQ ID NO: 2 in a sequence table, a C > T base mutation exists at the 796bp position of the genetic marker, and the intramuscular fat content character of a pig can be remarkably affected. The invention further provides a preparation method of the genetic marker and application of the genetic marker in correlation analysis of the intramuscular fat content character of the pig. The invention provides a new genetic marker for molecular marker-assisted breeding of intramuscular fat content traits of pigs.
