The non-contact monitoring method comprises the following steps: A, acquiring image data of an animal house; B, re-identifying and tracking the ruminants according to the obtained image data to obtain the behavior state of the ruminants and/or identifying the environment condition of the animal house; and C, judging the feeding condition of the ruminants according to the received image data. According to the non-contact monitoring method for the feeding condition of the ruminants, the physiological state and the environment of the current ruminants can be rapidly recognized and judged, reference suggestions can be provided for farmers in time when abnormity occurs, and the final yield of agricultural and sideline products is effectively increased.
