The method comprises the following steps of dividing and crushing an extracted iron ore sample till the extracted iron ore sample completely passes through a screen; carrying out standard-sample-free quantitative detection on the element content of the iron ore sample by adopting a tabletting method-X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer; the phase composition of the iron ore sample being detected by adopting an X-ray diffraction spectrometer and then being compared with the natural mineral characteristics, and the solid waste attribute of the iron ore sample being judged according to the natural mineral characteristics.
