The invention provides a computer vision system, and relates to the technical field of computer vision systems. The system comprises at least one edge device which is used for capturing a video stream, coding each frame of image in the video stream as an original image to obtain a first compressed image, and outputting the first compressed image; a cloud server which is in communication connection with the edge devices and used for decoding the obtained first compressed image to obtain a decoded image, processing the decoded image according to a pre-stored computer vision algorithm to obtain the decoded image containing a processing result, encoding the decoded image to obtain a second compressed image, and sending the second compressed image back to the edge device for real-time display.
