The invention provides a traction control method and system of a hybrid vehicle. The traction control system comprises a central control unit and a transmission control unit, wherein the central control unit is configured to respond to the situation that the storage battery cannot provide power and determine the target rotating speed needed by the diesel engine to generate the target traction force for driving the traction motor based on the target traction force of the hybrid power vehicle; and the transmission control unit is connected with the central control unit and is used for receiving the target rotating speed sent by the central control unit and controlling the diesel engine to work at the target rotating speed. 本发明提供了一种一种混合动力车辆的牵引控制方法及其系统。所述牵引控制系统包括：中央控制单元，所述中央控制单元被配置成：响应于所述蓄电池无法提供动力，基于所述混合动力车辆的目标牵引力确定出所述柴油机为驱动牵引电机产生所述目标牵引力所需达到的目标转速；以及传动控制单元，与所述中央控制单元连接，用于接收所述中央控制单元发送的所述目标转速并控制所述柴油机工作于所述目标转速下。
