In the machining process, due to the influences of motor work, machine tool spindle rotation, cutting force and the like, a process system is prone to vibration, and the machining precision of a workpiece and the service life of a tool are affected. According to the active damping device, a displacement sensor is pasted on a workpiece, a vibration displacement signal is measured, and a computer makes a decision by analyzing a vibration signal collected by a data collection box; and a PLC controls the pressure of a hydraulic system and the ratio of the pressure of the hydraulic system to the pressure at an oil inlet of a hydraulic cylinder according to the decision information to change the clamping force on the workpiece and the rigidity of a damping block, so that the effect of reducing the vibration of the workpiece in the milling process is achieved, the quality of the machined surface of the workpiece is improved, and the tool wear is
