A method for improving field cultivation/potting quality of curcuma hybrida 'Red Torch' is characterized by comprising the following steps: (1) selection of seed balls: selecting the seed balls after winter falling in the current year, namely selecting the seed balls which are cultivated for two years and are in different shapes; (2) field planting: adding a culture medium which is sandy soil rich in organic matter, to garden soil/flowerpots, digging pits and planting the selected seed balls in the step (1) in the culture medium, applying compound fertilizer, and performing watering; (3) growing period: arranging a breathable shading net to prevent the curcuma hybrida 'Red Torch' from being directly irradiated by sunlight, conducting watering for 2-3 times every week in the growing period, and keeping the environment humidity until the flowering period; and (4) flowering period: before the curcuma hybrida 'Red Torch' entering the flowering period is transplanted into pots, carrying out watering for 2-3 times
