The method comprises the following steps: preparing praseodymium nitrate precursor impregnation liquid, and impregnating the praseodymium nitrate precursor impregnation liquid into the cathode of the solid oxide fuel cell (the cathode is a perovskite type material); carrying out the in-situ loading of praseodymium oxide catalyst particles on the surface of the cathode by means of the heating process of the front working section of the solid oxide fuel cell, so the catalytic performance of the cathode is remarkably improved, the polarization impedance is reduced, and the cell power is improved.
