| Zusammenfassung: | In root canal treatment using a dental handpiece, safe treatment can be performed regardless of the proficiency of an operator, and differences in treatment effects can be reduced. A dental handpiece system (S1) is provided with a handpiece (10) and a rod-shaped cutting tool (20) for cutting a root canal (2) of a tooth (1). The handpiece (10) has a handpiece body (11) and a head portion (12) provided at a front end of the handpiece body. The cutting tool 20 is rotatably mounted on a head portion 12 of the handpiece 10. And, when cutting the root canal 2, the dental handpiece system S1 detects at least one of a force F received from the outside of the handpiece 10 in an axial direction Z of the cutting tool 20 and an acceleration A of the handpiece 10 in an axial direction Z of the cutting tool 20.
