Proximity-based personalization of computing devices

The invention relates to proximity-based personalization of computing devices. In some implementations, a computing device may be configured for a user (e.g., a user device) detected in proximity to the computing device. For example, a computing device may be a common device configured for a single user, but typically used by multiple users. The public device may discover when a known (e.g., authorized, trusted, etc.) user device is in proximity to the public device and obtain personalization data from nearby user devices. The public device may configure the public device based on the personalization data to personalize activities hosted by the public device for users of nearby user devices.
