The invention relates to a lightweight three-support insulator which comprises an insulator body, the insulator body is provided with three support legs uniformly distributed along the circumferential direction of the insulator body, each support leg is internally provided with a metal insert, and a central cylinder is arranged between every two support legs. The central cylinder body is distributed in an isosceles triangle shape with the geometric center of the insulator body as a datum point, a lightening hole is formed in the center of the insulator body and comprises heads extending in the direction of the supporting legs, and the geometric centers of the three heads are externally connected to form a center line circle. The center of the center line circle coincides with the geometric center of the insulator body, the three center cylinders are internally connected to form a contrast circle, and the radius of the contrast circle is smaller than that of the center line circle.
