The composition contains an L-ascorbic acid derivative and, even when a salt is also present in the composition, has excellent shape retention, is stable, and feels good to use; this purpose is met by providing a gel-type external composition for the skin containing an L-ascorbic acid derivative, a nonionic synthetic water-soluble polymer, and a natural water-soluble polysaccharide. 本发明的课题在于提供一种凝胶状皮肤外用组合物，其为含有L-抗坏血酸衍生物的凝胶状皮肤外用组合物，即使在该组合物中共存盐的情况下，也具有优异的保型性，且稳定，且具有优异的使用感。通过提供含有L-抗坏血酸衍生物、非离子性合成系水溶性高分子和天然系水溶性多糖的凝胶状皮肤外用组合物，解决了上述课题。
