The invention provides 10 pairs of high-polymorphism SSR primers, the PIC value is 0.77-0.86, the average value is 0.804, and 3-10 pairs of primers can be used for identifying the variety of the Chinese ornamental peony. 221 Chinese herbaceous peony varieties can be distinguished by using 3 pairs of primer combinations, 352 varieties can be distinguished by using 6 pairs of primer combinations, 397 varieties can be distinguished by using 9 pairs of primer combinations, and 403 varieties participating in the test can be distinguished by using the 10 pairs of primer combinations.
