The invention discloses an efficient desulfurization and denitrification agent which is prepared from the following components: 1-3 parts of potassium hydroxide, 8-10 parts of zeolite, 2-4 parts of a catalyst, 5-6 parts of activated carbon, 5-7 parts of calcium hydroxide and 2-10 parts of a stabilizer. Compared with the prior art, the desulfurization and denitrification agent has the advantages that the catalyst and the zeolite are further added on the basis of common components of an existing desulfurization and denitrification agent, meanwhile, the adsorption principle of the activated carbon is matched, and the desulfurization and denitrification efficiency is greatly improved.
