The invention discloses an optical module which comprises a circuit board and a light emitting sub-module. The light emitting sub-module comprises an emitting shell, a laser, a planar optical waveguide and an inclined plane gasket, one end of the emitting shell is provided with a mounting groove, the other end of the emitting shell is provided with a supporting surface, and the laser is arranged in the mounting groove. The planar optical waveguide comprises an input optical waveguide and an output optical waveguide which are located on the same input-output end surface. The input-output end surface is obliquely arranged relative to the light emitting direction of the laser.
