Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a novel tetraarylborate compound, a catalyst composition comprising same, and a method for preparing ethylene homopolymers or copolymers of ethylene and alpha-olefins by using same. In detail, the tetraarylborate compound has the excellent thermal stability and can be completely dissolved in an aliphatic hydrocarbon-based solvent, thereby facilitating operation of commercial processes and effectively inducing activation of a single-site catalyst. When used as a catalyst activator, the tetraarylborate compound allows high catalytic activity and can provide high molecular weight ethylene homopolymers and ethylene-based copolymers selected from copolymers of ethylene and alpha-olefin, and the like.
