Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for dynamically fixing an occupant belted in on a vehicle seat with a safety belt, wherein lateral acceleration (aq) of the vehicle and the course of the road in front of the vehicle are determined. According to the invention, a lateral acceleration (aq) to be anticipated in driving through a bend ahead of the vehicle is predicted using image data of a vehicle environment captured by at least one vehicle-mounted camera and/or using captured data of a navigation map, wherein a belt force acting on the safety belt is increased before the lateral acceleration (aq) acts on the occupant in the event that the predicted lateral acceleration (aq) exceeds a specified situation-dependent trigger threshold (A1-An) for tensioning the safety belt.
