Zusammenfassung:The present application provides a process for preparing a composite cathode for a lithium ion cell. The process comprises the steps of (i) forming a cathode slurry in a planetary mixing machine by mixing an active material, conducting diluent and binder; (ii) coating the slurry over an aluminum foil substrate in a coating machine at a speed of 0.2-0.8 m/min; and (iii) calendering the cathode in a calendering machine at a temperature of 50-150 DEG C. The present invention also relates to a system for the process. The cathode has peel strength of greater than 200 gf/cm and moisture content less than 350 ppm.
