Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the field of nuclear technologies, in particular to a uranium plutonium oxide nuclear fuel for an atomic power station with thermal neutron reactors. The technical result of the invention is the development of a REMIX-type fuel composition making it possible to allow fissile nuclear materials regenerated from spent nuclear fuel into the nuclear fuel cycle, with the simultaneous use of enriched natural uranium, and also providing a solution to the problem of handling previously isolated plutonium (including weapons-grade plutonium). The quantity of spent nuclear fuel is reduced by recycling fissile materials from spent nuclear fuel during the lifespan of a nuclear reactor (up to 5 recyclings), natural uranium for manufacturing fuel is saved and, as a result, the nuclear fuel cycle is made self-sustainable.
