The health monitoring system comprises the steps of 1, manufacturing two intelligent layers in a patch; 2, performing curing treatment; 3, exciting lamb waves and receiving the lamb waves; and 4, calculating a damage index. Aiming at the problem that the crack propagation condition cannot be monitored after a composite patch is used for repairing the cracks generated on the metal skin of the aircraft, the crack monitoring system is designed, and the system is simple to operate, sensitive in monitoring and low in cost, does not influence the crack repairing quality, and can effectively monitor the crack propagation and patch debonding conditions. And the operation safety of the aircraft is obviously improved.
