The invention relates to an illumination determination method for a volume cloud in a virtual environment, related equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps of: determining a theoretical illumination value of any pixel of a volume cloud in a current frame of virtual image; determining occlusion change information of the current frame of virtual image relative to N frames of images before the current frame of virtual image in any pixel; determining a mixing coefficient corresponding to any pixel according to the occlusion change information of the current frame of virtual image relative to N frames of images before the current frame of virtual image in any pixel; and according to the mixing coefficient, mixing the illumination value of any pixel in the Nth frame of image and the theoretical illumination value to obtain the illumination value of any pixel in the current frame of virtual image. The method and the device are used for solving the problem that when a moving object exi
