A light emitter/sensor unit for a display includes: a thin film photodiode detector (TFPD) including a film having an upper side and a lower side, configured to absorb light, and convert the absorbed light into an electric current; a first thin film light emitting diode (TFLED) including a film having an upper side and a lower side and configured to convert a current into light; a backplate voltage regulating circuit comprising a first TFPD contact surface, a second TFPD contact surface, a first TFLED contact surface and a transistor. The transistor is configured to set the potential of the first TFLED contact surface and set the potential of the two TFPD contact surfaces, or measure the potential difference between the two TFPD contact surfaces; the lower side of the film of the first TFLED is electrically connected to the first TFLED contact surface, a lower side of the film of the TFPD is electrically connected to the first TFPD contact surface, and an upper side of the film of the TFPD is electrically con
