The high-damage-tolerance 7-series aluminum alloy thick-plate used for aviation comprises the following substances in percentage by mass: 0-0.07% of Si, 0-0.08% of Fe, 1.3-1.8% of Cu, 0-0.06% of Mn, 2.0-2.5% of Mg, 0.19-0.22% of Cr, 5.4-6.0% of Zn, 0-0.06% of Ti and the balance Al and impurities. According to the high-damage-tolerance 7-series aluminum alloy thick-plate used for aviation, on the basis of precisely controlling the content of Fe and the content of Si, segregation of a large-size cast ingot and the content of a residual second phase are eliminated by adopting multi-stage homogenization, and the sub-structure organization state is further obtained through a large-pressing-amount multi-stage hot rolling process technology, so that the damage tolerance of the aluminum alloy thick-plate is improved.
