Described is a marine propulsion unit comprising a rotary casing (1) rotatable about a central axis A, and blades (2) extending axially from the rotary casing (1) for rotation with the rotary casing (1) about the central axis A, wherein each blade (2) is mounted for pivotal movement about blade axes B.
