Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to the provided protocol flexibility in automated test devices using host bus adapters. An automated test equipment (ATE) system includes a system controller communicatively coupled to a tester processor, where the system controller is to send instructions to the tester processor, and where the tester processor is to generate commands and data in accordance with the instructions to coordinate testing of a plurality of devices under test (DUTs). The system also includes an FPGA programmed to support a first protocol communicatively coupled to the tester processor, the FPGA including at least one hardware accelerator circuit for transparently generating commands and data from inside the tester processor to test a DUT of the plurality of DUTs. Further, the system includes a bus adapter having a protocol converter module for first converting a signal received from the FPGA associated with the first protocol to a signal associated with a second protocol and then signaling to the DUT, where th |
