The invention relates to a functional unit (1) for flushing a toilet bowl (2), at least comprising a support structure (3) having at least one liquid channel (4.1-4.5); at least one cover (5) which at least partially covers the at least one liquid channel (4.1-4.5); and a sealing material (6) which covers a boundary seam (7) between the support structure (3) and the at least one cover (5) in such a way that liquid cannot flow out of the at least one liquid channel (4.1-4.5) via the boundary seam (7).
