Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a frequency converter and a starting control method thereof. The frequency converter comprises: a sampling unit which is configured to sample the AC input voltage of an AC power supply of the frequency converter and sample the bus voltage of a bus of the frequency converter; and a control unit which is configured to generate a control signal according to the AC input voltage and the bus voltage obtained by sampling, wherein the control signal is used for controlling a trigger angle of a thyristor unit, and the control unit is configured to control the trigger angle of the thyristor unit according to the control signal so as to realize soft start of the frequency converter.
