The invention aims to solve the problems that an existing photonic crystal filter is narrow in high reflection wave band and large in energy loss, the metal metasurface filter is small in feature size and a preparation method is high in cost. The metal metasurface filter used for thermophotovoltaic is composed of a transparent substrate layer and sub-wavelength hole structure precious metal film layers. The sub-wavelength hole structure precious metal film layers are arranged on the transparent substrate layer, and a filling layer is arranged between every two adjacent sub-wavelength hole structure precious metal film layers.
