Zusammenfassung:	The present application relates to a Leucomyxomycete strain for the production of docosahexaenoic acid. Disclosed are improved strains of the Leucomyxomycete that produce a microbial oil having an increased docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) content. The strains have increased productivity relative to wild-type strains. A microbial oil composition having an increased DHA content is also provided.
