Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a valve with an unobstructed flow path having an increased flow coefficient. The valve comprises a valve body, a valve rod and a valve disc, the valve body including a first end and a second end spaced apart along a longitudinal axis and a central portion disposed between the first end and the second end, wherein the first end and the second end define a first flow passageway and a second flow passageway, respectively, and wherein the central portion defines an interior chamber. The valve rod is rotatably supported by the valve body about an axis of rotation, wherein the valve rod includes a polygonal end portion, and the valve disc is disposed within the interior chamber and includes a polygonal aperture to receive the polygonal end portion of the valve rod.
