The method comprises the steps of dissolving a grease sample by using normal hexane, performing chromatographic purification by using a neutral alumina column, detecting by using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography, and quantifying the beta-carotene by using an external standard method, wherein in the neutral alumina column chromatography purification, normal hexane is adopted for elution, after eluent is subjected to rotary evaporation to dryness, normal hexane is used for leaching, leacheate is blow-dried through nitrogen, a purified sample is obtained, and after the volume of the purified sample is fixed with dichloromethane, the sample is used for detection.
