The method comprises the following steps: dividing a target monitoring area into a plurality of grids; determining an initial layout scheme by adopting an improved bat algorithm, wherein the initial layout scheme is a layout scheme of the wireless sensor network covering the most grids; determining uncovered grids; and adjusting the position of the sensor by adopting virtual force, and optimizing the initial layout scheme to obtain an optimal layout scheme.
