The method comprises the following steps: step 1, preparing the electrode plate of the lithium ion secondary battery to be tested; step 2, preparing a lithium ion secondary battery electrolyte; and step 3, wettability test: in a constant humidity and temperature environment, using two smooth clamps with scales to clamp and fix the electrode plate to be tested, then inserting one end of the electrode plate into the electrolyte, recording the area of the electrode plate infiltrated by the electrolyte after the infiltration time of the preset duration in real time, then calculating the area of the electrode plate infiltrated by the electrolyte within unit time, namely calculating the electrolyte infiltration rate of the electrode plate to be measured.
