Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a binder for electrochemical devices, which follows a volume change of an electrode structure associated with charging and discharging, and which is able to improve the service life characteristics of an electrochemical device. The binder for electrochemical devices is a binder for secondary batteries containing a polymer that has at least one cyclic host group in each molecule, and which is characterized in that: the host group is present as a side chain of the polymer; and the main chain of the polymer penetrates through at least some cyclic host groups.
