The tension and compression experiment device comprises a device main frame, and a pressurizing mechanism, a stretching mechanism, a movable cross beam and a positioning and leveling mechanism which are arranged on the device main frame, the pressurizing mechanism is used for carrying out a pressurizing experiment on the test piece; the stretching mechanism is used for carrying out a stretching experiment on the test piece; the movable cross beam is used for adjusting the relative positions of test pieces with different lengths and the device main frame; and the positioning and leveling mechanism is used for positioning and leveling the device main frame and the test piece.
