The invention relates to a practical knife. The practical knife comprises a shell, a tool apron, a tool magazine seat, an elastic unit and a locking mechanism, wherein a first accommodating chamber and a second accommodating chamber are defined by the shell; the tool apron is movably accommodated in the first accommodating chamber; the tool magazine seat is movably inserted into the second accommodating chamber and comprises a placing part; and the elastic unit is arranged between the shell and the placing part, the locking mechanism comprises a substrate, a moving part, a first clamping and abutting part and a second clamping and abutting part, the substrate is arranged on the shell, the moving part is arranged on the substrate, the first clamping and abutting part is arranged on the moving part, and the second clamping and abutting part is arranged on the tool magazine seat. The first clamping and abutting part and the second clamping and abutting part are used for being mutually embedded in a releasable mo
