The invention discloses a fecal coliform group detection test method for a sewage treatment plant, which comprises the following steps: A, firstly, dividing a water sample into three batches of water samples with completely consistent volume; b, respectively putting different doses of sodium hypochlorite into the three batches of water samples for disinfection; and C, respectively determining residual chlorine and fecal coliform groups of the three batches of disinfected water samples.
