Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a coating material that can be sprayed and can perform rheology control without sagging of a coating liquid after coating. The method for producing the coating material, comprises a step (1) for applying an electron beam-curable composition containing an ethylenically unsaturated group-containing compound onto a substrate to form a coating film having a surface viscosity measured value of 1-300 Pa * s based on an electric filed pickup method; a step (2) drying the coating film obtained in step (1) when the electron beam-curable composition contains a volatile component to form a dry coating film; and a step (3) for forming the cured film by irradiating the substrate having the coating film obtained in step 1 or the dried coating film obtained in step 2 with an electron beam in an inert gas atmosphere.
