The electrochemical sensor for detecting capsaicin is produced by electrically depositing a cyclodextrin metal organic framework material with a large specific surface area and a large cavity on the surface of an electrode through cyclic voltammetry. When the capsaicin content is detected, the cyclodextrin metal organic framework material can enrich capsaicin so that the detection effect is improved, the rapid and high-sensitivity detection of the capsaicin content is realized by utilizing an electrochemical method, the method is simple to operate and high in stability, and a detection limit can be as low as 0.3 mu M.
