The present invention relates to a refrigerator. A refrigerator according to the present invention comprises: a storage compartment for storing food; a cooling unit for supplying coldness to the storage compartment; a first tray forming one part of the ice-making cells which are spaces in which water changes phase to ice due to the coldness; a second tray forming the other part of the ice-making cells, and connected to a driving unit so that the second tray can come into contact with the first tray during the ice making process, and be distanced from the first tray during the ice separation process; a heater adjacently located to at least one of the first tray and second tray; and a control unit for controlling the heater and driving unit.
