The multi-stage latex polymer particles include (A) a first-stage polymer containing (i) an n-methylol functional monomer and (ii) a first vinyl monomer; and (B) a second-stage polymer containing (i) a formaldehyde-scavenging monomer and (ii) a second vinyl monomer.
