Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a casting process for casting a vermicular graphite cast iron disc body of a 160KM locomotive by adopting shell molds. According to a method, an upper shell, a lower shell, a core and a pouring cup with the thicknesses of 15-20 mm are obtained through sand shooting of a shell making machine, then the core is put into the lower shell, the upper shell, the lower shell and the pouring cup are bonded by using a bonding agent, a combined shell is directly and horizontally put into a sand box, the combined shell is buried by using iron sand, and molten iron is poured to cast out a disc body part. The casting quality is effectively improved, the vermicular graphite cast iron RUT400 material requirement is met by 100%, compared with a lost foam process, the process yield is improved to 90% or above from 75%, shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavities in a disc are eliminated, the casting yield reaches 98% from 60%, the production efficiency is improved by three times, the number of workers per
