According to the invention, a giant adhesion protein is found by analyzing the genome sequence of a bacterium BSI20414 separated from Arctic sea ice, an antifreeze structural domain is predicted from the protein sequence, the structural domain sequence is cloned and expressed by using a genetic engineering means to obtain a soluble recombinant protein, and the activity research finds that the recombinant protein has high anti-freezing activity, has the function of inhibiting ice crystal growth and recrystallization, has application potential in the aspects of structure protection, cell protection and the like, and provides candidates for development of low-temperature protective agents.
