The invention discloses a liquid level monitoring system which comprises a control circuit, a liquid level sensor connected with the control circuit and a detection circuit connected with the liquid level sensor and the control circuit, wherein the control circuit is used for supplying power to the liquid level sensor under the condition that a detection signal which is sent by a user and represents the detected target liquid level is received, the control circuit stops supplying power to the liquid level sensor under the condition that a stop signal which is sent by a user and represents that detection of the target water level is finished is received, and the detection circuit is used for detecting the target liquid level through the liquid level sensor under the condition that the control circuit supplies power to the liquid level sensor.
